Duncan to make leadership change at Provo facility
As current Provo COO Chad Doehring prepares to head back to Nebraska the company is starting its search for a replacement.
Duncan's Provo, Utah facility is in need of a new COO.

Duncan Aviation is to make a change to the senior leadership team at its Provo Municipal airport facility in Utah. In the spring of 2024, Duncan Aviation-Provo chief operating officer Chad Doehring will, for family reasons, move back to the company's headquarters in Lincoln, Nebraska as a member of the senior management team there. As a result, the company is beginning a search for the best COO candidate for its Provo facility.

“The last few months have been tough for me personally, as I have been challenged with balancing the increasingly complicated health needs of my parents, who still live in Nebraska, with the rewarding demands that come from running one of Duncan Aviation's main MROs. I love my work, the team and facility we have built in Utah, and the Provo community, but I need to physically be in Nebraska right now. We have a strong leadership team in Provo, and they will have the support of the entire Duncan Aviation family during this transition,” says Doehring.

He will continue to lead Provo as COO over the next several months and will be involved in selecting his replacement. He will also continue to provide any needed support to the new COO and the entire Provo team. Senior leaders from Duncan's Battle Creek, Michigan and Lincoln, Nebraska facilities will also spend time in Utah supporting the Provo facility and ensuring a smooth transition.

“Change is never easy, and this is a decision that Chad wrestled with for many months. When he shared his predicament with me and the rest of the Duncan Aviation senior team, we began planning for this future transition and looking for ways to best support him, his family, the Provo team members and our customers, with the goal of making this change as positive as possible,” says chairman Todd Duncan.

“I am humbled to work for such supportive and caring people and will do everything I can to ensure the Provo facility continues progressing in quality, culture and reputation,” concludes Doehring.
