Duncan Aviation has been approved by Klatt Works as an authorised sales and installation centre for the Smoke Assured Vision Enhanced Display (SAVED) mask, which utilises augmented reality technology to provide a see-through display inside the oxygen mask, allowing pilots to safely navigate and land during a smoke-in-the-cockpit emergency.
Developed by Klatt Works, SAVED greatly enhances safety during aircraft fires. In a smoke-in-the-cockpit emergency, SAVED's see-through optics display flight data and nose camera video inside the pilot's oxygen mask, helping pilots safely land the aircraft. SAVED is currently certified for installation on the Gulfstream G550 and is in the process of receiving FAA STC for the G650 and G450, with other popular business jet models to follow.
“As a maintenance and refurbishment organisation, safety is always at the top of the list for the services and products we provide to our clients,” notes Duncan Aviation modifications sales manager Nate Klenke. “We are pleased to be selected as an authorised dealer and are now able to offer the SAVED product to our clients.”
Klatt Works CEO Nate Klatt adds that he is thrilled to welcome Duncan Aviation to the SAVED authorised reseller network: “Its deep relationships across the business aviation community and its commitment to technical excellence make it a natural fit for bringing this capability to G550 operators.
“Expanding access to SAVED through trusted partners like Duncan Aviation is how we advance our mission of giving every flight crew a fighting chance when it matters most.”
