ANAC certifies Piper M600/SLS HALO with Autoland
Brazilian certification is a key milestone for the flagship M600/SLS aircraft, which was the first aircraft to achieve FAA certification with the Garmin Autoland system.
Piper M600/SLS HALO system with Garmin Autoland has achieved ANAC certification.

Piper Aircraft has been awarded approval from Brazil's National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) for its M600/SLS HALO safety system with Garmin Autoland and stand-alone auto-throttle.

“The Brazilian certification is a key milestone for our flagship M600/SLS aircraft," says vice president of sales, marketing and customer support Ron Gunnarson. "The Piper M600/SLS was the first aircraft to achieve FAA certification with the Garmin Autoland system and subsequent international validations will continue. Additionally, the aircraft features the latest software and capabilities offered by Garmin for the G3000 avionics suite, Garmin's PlaneSync technology and competitive range, payload and safety features along with outstanding operating economics. Our Brazilian customers are looking forward to the kind of value proposition delivered by the M600/SLS as well as with the peace of mind that comes with the Garmin Autoland system.”

The Piper M600/SLS with the HALO safety system is the first general aviation aircraft certified with Garmin Autoland, a system supporting digital technology that safely lands the aircraft at the nearest suitable airport in the event that the pilot is incapacitated. Additionally, the Garmin G3000 avionics suite includes auto-throttle, Autoland, emergency descent mode, electronic stability and protection, Surface Watch, Safe Taxi and Flight Stream 510, all of which are designed to enhance safe operation of the aircraft.
