ANAC signs with EASA and UK CAA on eVTOLs
The letters of intent highlight the authorities' intentions to work together to enhance cooperation and increase efficiency in matters relating to the certification of eVTOL across Europe and in the UK.

ANAC, the national civil aviation agency of Brazil, has signed two letters of intent (LoI) during the EASA-FAA Safety Conference in Germany. It has agreed to work closely with EASA and, additionally, with the UK CAA, on eVTOL certification. The ANAC/EASA signatories were ANAC acting president-director Tiago Pereira and EASA strategy and safety management director Luc Tytgat.

Sophie O'Sullivan, head of future safety and innovation at the UK Civil Aviation Authority, says: “eVTOL is a vital frontier in the future of aviation, and we look forward to sharing regulatory approaches with our peers at ANAC in order to ensure we can stay at the forefront of this important sector.”

Roberto Honorato, airworthiness department head of ANAC Brazil, adds: “With the increasing number of eVTOL activities an important part of the development of this new sector is the cooperation between state of design. I'd like to thank the representatives of the UK Civil Aviation Authority and Agencia Nacional de Aviacao Civil that worked to make it possible.”
