Philippines MRO Metrojet Engineering Clark (MEC), the Philippines based maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) station of Hong Kong-based Metrojet has recently renewed its FAA Air Agency Certificate to perform line and base maintenance on Gulfstream G450, G550 and G650/G650ER; Bombardier Global Express, 5000, 6000 and 7500; and Challenger 300/350 and 604/605 aircraft. The FAA certification also includes the servicing and overhaul of aircraft batteries and wheel assemblies in its dedicated workshops.

“Since the opening of the new Metrojet Engineering Clark hangar facility in April 2021, we have seen multiple maintenance requests coming from Philippine US-registered aircraft. The renewal of the FAA certification once again affirms MEC's efforts in servicing the N-reg aircraft in the region. With the recognition, our team will continue to provide quality services to international standards,” says MEC general manager Sarith Vaikuntan.

The renewed US FAA Air Agency Certificate to Metrojet Engineering Clark is in addition to already established approvals from the Philippines CAAP, the Cayman Islands CAA, the Qatar QCAA, the Isle of Man IoM, and the San Marino SMAR.

MEC currently operates a 7,100 sqm hangar at Clark International airport within the Clark Freeport Zone in the Philippines, providing both hangar and ramp parking and a fully authorised repair station. Having been operational since 2012, the company is a well-developed MRO facility designed to augment both heavy and line maintenance capabilities in the Asia Pacific region.

Established in 1997 as part of the Kadoorie Group, Metrojet has pioneered business aviation services in Hong Kong and remains one of the foremost safe and customer-focussed business jet operators and maintenance providers in the Asia Pacific region. The company provides all-inclusive aircraft management, charter, maintenance, and aviation consultancy services to our growing business aviation customer base.
