Gama Aviation company Jet East will begin offering sales and installation of air-to-ground connectivity provider SmartSky's advanced shipsets at its maintenance facilities for business aviation aircraft in Trenton, New Jersey; Dallas, Texas; Fort Lauderdale, Florida; and West Palm Beach, Florida.

Senior director, avionics sales and business development Dwayne Chandler says: “Business aviation continues to experience a period of growth, and we are seeing an increased demand for both regular maintenance and upgrades to legacy aircraft to keep them flying longer. As a leading service centre, we are focused on providing our customers with the best possible solutions to support their needs; SmartSky makes a great addition to our portfolio.”

SmartSky's network is on track for full CONUS coverage this quarter, and Jet East's factory-trained technicians will install the innovative equipment to support the growing demand for dependable, responsive and secure connectivity on business aviation aircraft. Continued growth in the business aviation sector and greater use of connected services for avionics, cabin wi-fi and aircraft performance monitoring has pushed inflight connectivity to the top of list for installations and upgrades.

SmartSky director of MRO account management Aria Bahawdory adds: “Our sales and installation partners provide a critical connection to our customers. Jet East shares our vision for challenging the status quo for inflight connectivity and delivering superior value for business aviation at a time when being connected has become a top priority, whether that be for improving the emissions of the aircraft or the quality of the experience in the cabin.”
