Texas-based Part 135 aircraft management and charter operator Million Air Dallas has named its new president and COO. Don Rickerhauser replaces former president Robert Schmidt, who has left the company after 17 years of faithful service.

Rickerhauser, a highly respected executive leader and aviation expert, brings over 35 years of industry experience. He was previously vice president of operations at the company, and before that was manager of flight operations, where he originally came on board to improve all aspects of flight operations, safety and regulatory compliance. As the new president, Rickerhauser will be responsible for the future growth and success of the Million Air Dallas FBO, flight operations and aircraft maintenance and aircraft management services.

“I am honoured to take the reins of this prestigious organisation and build on more than three decades of achievements by our dedicated team members,” says Rickerhauser. “I look forward to the opportunity to evolve and expand the company so Million Air Dallas can achieve pioneering growth, which was the concept on which the company was originally founded.”

Rickerhauser has a master's in aeronautical science (aviation management) from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a Bachelor of Science in aviation management and flight technology from the Florida Institute of Technology.
