Phenom 300 sales complete Embraer's decade at the top
Embraer has delivered more than 50 Phenom 300 series jets a year for the past ten years, a result, the company says, of continual aircraft improvement and innovation as well as industry-first technology.
Embraer's Phenom 300 series tops a decade of product excellence with 10th consecutive year as best-selling light jet.

Embraer’s Phenom 300 series is the best-selling light jet for the 10th consecutive year and the most delivered twinjet of 2021 with 56 deliveries, according to numbers released by the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA). It has had the largest annual delivery rate with over 50 jets being delivered, on average, since entering the market in December 2009. To date, the series has accrued more than 640 deliveries.

“It has been a distinct honour for the Phenom 300 series to be named the world's best-selling light jet over these past 10 years, achieving a decade of dominance is an extraordinary accomplishment for Embraer and solidifies our industry leading position in the market,” says Embraer Executive Jets president and CEO Michael Amalfitano. “Reaching this milestone secures the aircraft's leadership position in the light jet segment, one filled with excellence and recognition of our outstanding performance, technology, comfort and support. Since inception, we have made continuous improvements to the aircraft based on customer feedback, and we will continue to innovate and improve it in the coming years.”

The Phenom 300 series is in operation in 39 countries and has accumulated nearly 1,500,000 flight hours. Embraer is continuously investing in enhancements to its performance, technology, comfort and operational efficiency resulting in the highest residual value in the market.

In January 2020, the OEM announced the new and enhanced Phenom 300E, gaining triple certification by ANAC, EASA and FAA approvals in March. The first delivery came in June 2020.

The Phenom 300E is capable of reaching Mach 0.80, becoming the fastest single pilot jet in production. It delivers a high-speed cruise of 464 knots and a five-occupant range of 2,010 nm with NBAA IFR reserves. Technology enhancements include an avionics upgrade featuring a runway overrun awareness and alerting system (ROAAS), the first technology of its kind to be developed and certified in business aviation, as well as predictive windshear, Emergency Descent Mode, PERF, TOLD and FAA datacom. The aircraft also features 4G connectivity via Gogo Avance L5.

Total Embraer business jet deliveries for 2021 was 93, of which 62 were light (Phenom 100 and 300) and 31 mid-size (Praetor 500 and 600).

Fourth quarter 2021 figures show 39 business jets delivered, 26 light plus 13 mid-size jets.

Towards the end of 2021, Embraer and NetJets signed an agreement for up to 100 additional Phenom 300, in excess of $1.2 billion. As part of the deal, NetJets will take delivery of the Phenom 300E in the second quarter of 2023, in both the US and Europe. Embraer also delivered a new Phenom 300E in Quito, Ecuador, marking the first delivery of the aircraft type in the country, and the first Praetor 500 in Canada to AirSprint Private Aviation, a privately held, fractional jet ownership company.
