Jet operators prioritise safety with Wingman renewals
Mira Vista Aviation, Silver Air and the Whitewind Company have renewed their Wyvern Wingman certifications. These certified operators all conform to a standard that requires a high commitment to safety.

California-based charter and management companies Mira Vista Aviation and Silver Air have once more secured their designations as Wyvern Wingman Certified operators by maintaining Wingman status through the Flight Leader Program, with quarterly coaching by Wyvern.

Wyvern is very happy to declare that Mira Vista Aviation is a Wingman operator. Adhering to the Wingman standard is evidence that the organisation has a culture of excellence that is far above its peers,” says CEO Sonnie Bates. “Silver Air's certification as a Wyvern Wingman operator sets it apart from other operators in the air charter industry. This achievement validates its commitment to attaining and maintaining an enduring safety culture that elevates its performance above other operators who are just beginning to embrace the value of formal safety risk management.”

Connecticut-based Part 135 the Whitewind Company has also secured its designation following a successful audit in November 2021.

“Since it was founded more than 25 years ago, the Whitewind Company has strived to provide customised aircraft management services with the highest level of safety to its customers. In maintaining high standards in safety, the Whitewind Company has been certified by Wyvern with the Wingman standard for several years. These certifications, along with IS-BAO and FAA's SMSVP, are an important assurance to all our customers and stakeholders that our safety management system is robust and constantly improving. We are proud to have achieved the Wingman standard and IS-BAO Stage III through a rigorous audit process and overhaul of safety protocols, and we envision this as one milestone in our constant pursuit of the highest level of safety,” says president John Decker.
