US business aviation MRO West Star Aviation has promoted Bob Peyman to technical sales manager of Bombardier Challenger and Global segments at its St Louis Regional airport facility in East Alton, Illinois, and Dean Zimmel to satellite manager of its Minneapolis-Saint Paul International airport location in Minnesota.

Peyman has over 23 years of corporate aviation experience with an associate degree in aviation maintenance technology from Southwestern Illinois College, as well as being an FAA-certified aircraft and powerplant technician since 1999.

“Bob's extensive technical experience and skills will provide additional expertise and leadership to both segments while also supporting the sales managers at ALN,” says vice president of sales at the St Louis facility Marty Rhine.

“This is a unique opportunity to contribute to both the Bombardier Challenger and Global segments, and I'm excited to exceed the customer's expectations," adds Peyman

Zimmel has over 35 years of experience in aviation, previously working at Mesaba Airlines, Dallas Airmotive and General Dynamics. He has been with West Star for over three years.

“Dean's extensive background in maintenance will be a tremendous asset to this location as we grow new opportunities,” notes director, satellites, MRT and engines Sharon Klose.

“I am excited to advance my career within West Star, while also contributing to the team,” adds Zimmel.
