According to Air Service Basel and Euroairport FBO, Art Basel made a successful comeback in 2021: over the course of seven days, over 300 handled flights and more than 500 VIP guests were welcomed from more than 15 countries.

Following its postponement from its usual slot in June this year, the international art fair returned to its origins on 24-26 September, with preview days from 21-23 September, heralding an autumn of art in Basel.

This week-long event is a special time for the whole team at Air Service Basel. “This high-traffic period requires an absolute team-effort where all staff work together hand in hand to create the best customer experience for our crews and passengers,” says Sandrine Schmidlin, FBO manager. “It has been a challenging time, but we are more than happy to be welcoming back all of our international guests.”

Air Service Basel’s FBO is the most convenient choice, situated just 10 minutes from Messe Base, where the art fair is held, after arriving on its private apron. For a smooth experience, its FBO team coordinates on-site customs and concierge services such as hotels, VIP catering or limousine transfers with direct ramp access, which makes Air Service Basel the perfect destination for customers who want to travel discreetly and at their own convenience.

As Art Basel closes its doors for this year, another great exhibition has now opened. The Fondation Beyeler is hosting to the most important Goya exhibition outside Spain and welcomes international guests and art enthusiasts. The Air Service Basel FBO team will be more than happy to assist visitors with all VIP services for their next stop in Basel.
