The SA Group expands with interior design capabilities
Classic Trim ApS founded by Ellen Reichstein and Erik Sørensen, has been purchased by The SA Group and is now known as Classic Trim Aviation Interiors. The founders will stay on as part owners and mentors.
Ellen Reichstein and Erik Sørensen reached out to The SA Group several years ago with the idea of a merger that coincided with their retirement plans.

The SA Group has purchased the aircraft division of Classic Trim ApS and the new company has been named Classic Trim Aircraft Interiors. It will deliver turn-key interior solutions including cleaning, restoration, refurbishment and modifications.

Classic Trim and The SA Group have a relationship going back almost 25 years and this led founders of Classic Trim, Ellen Reichstein and Erik Sørensen to reach out to The SA Group several years ago with the idea of a merger that coincided with their retirement plans.

“We are very happy and proud that Ellen and Erik found The SA Group to be the suitable fit to carry on the legacy of their life's work. We see this new constellation as the best possible outcome as we are securing both the past and the future of a really impressive company,” says Michael R. Truelsen, CEO of Scandinavian Avionics A/S and The SA Group.

Reichstein and Sørensen will remain as part owners and active mentors for Classic Trim Aviation Interiors. Grønning & Juelsgaard, an upholstery company, has also been added as part owners.

“Classic Trim is our baby. It's been our work and hobby for half a lifetime, so being able to secure the future of the company, while continuing as part owners and mentors in the new setup, means a lot to us. We share values and close relations with The SA Group, and we know it is a clean match. Further are the projects we have already done with Grønning & Juelsgaard just making us even more convinced that Classic Trim Aircraft Interiors has a bright future ahead,” says Reichstein.
