Thoroughbread Aviation Maintenance has expanded its operations at Blue Grass airport in Lexington, Kentucky. Its new 20,000 square-foot facility is dedicated to expanding helicopter and fixed-wing maintenance.

MD Helicopters has congratulated Thoroughbread on its expansion with an event to present a plaque to the service provider. In attendance were Rocky Adkins, senior advisor to Governor Beshear and director of customer support for MD Helicopters Eric Kessler.

“As an MD Helicopters authorised service centre Thoroughbred Aviation Maintenance is a key player in our work to strengthen and expand support for our customers,” Kessler says. “Thoroughbred Aviation has a long history of maintenance excellence and does a tremendous job of providing high quality, reliable service for MD owners and operators. Paired with MD's boosted customer support and spares in stock, Thoroughbred's new facility will enhance the overall customer experience.”

The facility is a consolidation and expansion of the existing property combining helicopter operations from Thoroughbred's Georgetown facility at Georgetown Scott County Regional Airport.
