Simon Maina's CV includes spells at Jeppesen and Flexjet.

ARGUS International has welcomed veteran aviation sales professional Simon Maina as director of business development. Maina brings nearly 30 years of aviation industry experience to his new role, including sales leadership positions with Boeing, Jeppesen, Flexjet, Adam Aircraft and Premier Aviation.

“I am very excited to have Simon on our team,” states senior VP of ops and business development Mike McCready. “His decades of experience in aviation will bring guidance to our clients and the industry as we bring together innovation and safety to advance commercial, business and general aviation into the future.”

While at Jeppesen, Maina spent two years in southeast Asia handling Part 121 national airlines and completing complex sales projects. Prior to Jeppesen, he was with Flexjet by Bombardier for four years as sales director in the Rocky Mountain states, garnering Part 91(k) experience. He also holds a Commercial MEI licence, a SE Seaplane licence, and is working on his FAA UAS Part 107 Remote Pilot certificate.

“One of the great advantages about joining a small, tightly knit company like ARGUS is that every day you can make a positive contribution that results in a difference across the organisation,” he says.

In his new role, Maina will oversee special projects and the expansion of product lines as ARGUS International continues to grow as industry leaders in aviation software, flight tracking and market intelligence.
