Following an on-site renewal audit of its policies, procedures, safety systems and operational practices, AB Jets has completed its ARGUS safety audit with zero findings. Beyond confirming compliance, the process gave the Memphis, Tennessee-based charter operator a chance to examine its operation in depth, share lessons learned and identify ways to continue strengthening its safety culture.
Founded in 1999, AB Jets operates an owner-operated floating private jet fleet and provides on-demand charter and jet card services. It has held an ARGUS Platinum rating since 2014.
“Completing an ARGUS Platinum audit with zero findings is no small feat,” notes Dave Hardin, director of safety and compliance at AB Jets. “It took ownership, focused work and dedication from everyone on the team to make this happen. Every member of this organisation should be extremely proud of the role they played in this achievement.”
AB Jets recently added three new Starlink-equipped Challenger 3500 aircraft to its fleet of Learjet 60s and has ordered an additional two units of the Starlink-equipped super-midsize jet. Its third Challenger 3500, delivered in August this year, has just been added to the company's charter certificate.
“Safety systems are built into our daily operation with shared accountability across flight operations, maintenance, leadership and support teams,” explains David Turner, partner and director of operations.
“A zero-finding audit is tremendous, but this wasn't about preparing for an auditor,” adds Andrew Bettis, founder and president of AB Jets. “It was about demonstrating the standards our team upholds every day. Safety requires consistency and discipline. That's the Fortitude spirit.”
