VIP Completions, based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, has earned Part 145 repair station certification from the FAA. A Part 145 certificate permits the holder to engage in the maintenance, inspection and alteration of aircraft and aircraft accessories.

“The FAA certification process is very rigorous, and successful completion is testament to our project management, quality control and compliance standards,” says Ben Shirazi, president, VIP Completions. “This is a major milestone in the strategic plan that we have been working on for several years. Part 145 shows the industry that our team applies the highest standards to everything we do. We are committed to exceptional craftsmanship, characterised by efficient and transparent project management.

“Thus far, 2020 has been a good year for VIP Completions; our hangar slots have been consistently full. This certification was secured during a particularly busy period. We were working on extensive projects, including major inspection coordination, custom paint oversight and full interior refurbishment of a Bombardier Global Express, a Dassault Falcon 7X and a Gulfstream G550, all while adhering to stringent new COVID-19 safety protocols.

“Thanks to the professionalism of our FAA inspectors and the dedication of our team, we are confident that Part 145 helps position our company as business aviation recovers and operations normalise. Specifically, Part 145 helps us market our expertise in cabin refurbishment to a larger segment of the market, including Part 135 operators. Looking ahead, we will also pursue EASA Part 145 accreditation, which will give us a truly global reach.”
