Sheltair adds final touches to impressive Savannah hangar
Owned by the City of Savannah and managed by the Savannah Airport Commission, Hilton Head airport is close to golf courses and the beach. Sheltair's new facility is set to make the hub all the more appealing.
The footprint of the hangar totals 100,000 sq ft.

Sheltair Aviation's Savannah/Hilton Head International airport FBO has completed construction of a $5.6 million 31,575 sq ft hangar that offers 28 ft doors and a 227 ft clear span opening, designed to accommodate aircraft as large as the Global 7500 and Gulfstream 650.

Complemented by its services, Sheltair's Savannah FBO includes a 6,500 sq ft executive terminal that provides a broad range of amenities for passengers and flight crews, along with three additional hangars with office space totalling approximately 100,000 sq ft.

“Savannah continues to be a favoured destination for business and hospitality as evidenced by the fact that its airport is one of the busiest in the state of Georgia,” states Lisa Holland, Sheltair's president. “Our latest investment reflects our commitment to meeting Savannah's aviation needs, not just for today, but for years to come.”

Owned by the City of Savannah and managed by the Savannah Airport Commission, the airport is just miles away from one of the nation's most popular golfing destinations, acclaimed beaches and the Savannah Historic District.

“We have been fortunate to have Sheltair as a valued business partner for the past 15 years. The addition of this hangar reflects Sheltair's confidence in our airport and the market we serve” says Gregory Kelly, executive director of the Savannah Airport Commission. “We continually work to promote business and general aviation as a critical part of our overall business plan, so we are genuinely excited about Sheltair's continued growth and investment at SAV as evidenced by this latest hangar that can welcome the latest generation of aircraft.”

“Our customers expect professionalism, attention to detail, convenience and innovation. This new hangar reflects that focus to anticipating the needs of our clients throughout the Sheltair FBO network,” concludes Holland.
