ASB to close down Basel maintenance department
CEO of Air Service Basel Claudio Lasagni says that the Coronavirus pandemic has forced the company to shift focus, regrettably at the expense of the EuroAirport-based maintenance department.
ASB will now focus on CAMO, parking and handling.

In light of economic pressures and the recent global pandemic, Air Service Basel, the Basel-based FBO, has announced that it will close its maintenance department by 1 August at the latest.

CEO Claudio Lasagni reports: “Business aviation has undoubtedly been facing challenges for a while now, and the Corona pandemic has certainly not been in our favour. It's with a heavy heart that we close the maintenance department, but we remain positive about the industry bouncing back after this crisis. We will be shifting our focus on developing new areas of the business.”

All other services including CAMO, aircraft parking and executive handling will remain operational.

Located at the southwest corner of the EuroAirport in Basel, Air Service Basel's IS-BAH certified FBO terminal offers a full range of customer-focused services for business aviation including aircraft hangar and apron parking, fuelling, aircraft management, passenger and crew support, and VIP handling.
