Gold and platinum customers have status preserved
AVTRIP members are also assured that their points have never, and will never, expire. Those that do not accumulate to 5,000 points at the end of the year (redeemable for a reward) will roll over into 2021.

Out of appreciation for its customers and in reaction to the COVID-19 pandemic's affect on flight activity, Avfuel is preserving the tiers of its AVTRIP members who earned a gold or platinum status for 2020 through to 2021.

This allows members to receive the benefits they earned, including extra points per gallon, a higher point accelerator rate and special gifts, until they're back in the sky. However, members who still fly and fuel enough in 2020 to step up tiers for 2021 (e.g., from silver to gold or gold to platinum) will still be able to do so.

Marci Ammerman, vice president of marketing for Avfuel, says: “There are a lot of concerns in light of the COVD-19 pandemic, and as such, a lot of challenging business decisions being made; this was not one of them. We wanted our loyal customers to feel valued and secure in their rewards. Preserving their tier status through 2021 was an easy solution and a simple decision.”

AVTRIP members are also assured that their points have never, and will never, expire. Those that do not accumulate to 5,000 points at the end of the year (redeemable for a reward) will roll over into 2021.

This announcement comes on the heals of Avfuel announcing its early release of applications for the AVTRIP Scholarship and Avfuel Pilot-in-Training Scholarship.
