General manager Jimmy shimmies into Chantilly
Manassas Regional airport accounts for 30 per cent of general aviation activity in the Commonwealth of Virginia. It provides the ideal location for Chantilly Air's latest FBO, and Jimmy Thate will be leading the line.

Chantilly Air has added Jimmy Thate to its growing team of aviation professionals leading its latest FBO. Thate comes to Chantilly Air with a wealth of experience, having spent the last eight years building relationships and creating personalised customer experience at FBO locations.

“I am beyond excited to have this amazing opportunity to offer an exceptional experience for customers at the new Chantilly Air FBO,” he says. “With our new facility consisting of 60,000 sq ft of hangar space, more than 24,000 sq ft of office space and ramp access for arriving and departing aircraft, I know we will offer the exclusivity that no other FBO can for the northern Virginia and Washington D.C. traveller. I am blessed to step into this new avenue of business while maintaining the culture and reputation that Chantilly Air is known for. This new offering of FBO services is going to be a great success for our business and customers.”

COO Tim Sullivan adds: “We are fortunate to have Jimmy join the Chantilly Air team as our FBO operations general manager. As we bring world class FBO services to Washington D.C. it is important that our team be led by the best. I've had the opportunity to see Jimmy's customer service and leadership skills in action and look forward to having pilots and clients experience this at our new FBO.”

Manassas Regional airport accounts for 30 per cent of general aviation activity in the Commonwealth of Virginia. With direct access to Washington D.C. via train and express lanes on I-95 and I-66 the airport and Chantilly Air's FBO is advantageous for business aviation travellers. Wait and taxi times do not exist at Manassas as there are no commercial aircraft to compete with. In addition, clients experience the privacy, convenience and flexibility they expect by having ramp access to their aircraft. With their expansion into the FBO market Chantilly Air will be Washington D.C.'s only turn-key aviation solutions provider, offering aircraft management, charter, maintenance, sales, hangar and fuelling services all under one roof. Chantilly Air anticipates a late summer completion date for its FBO facility.
