Jet Aviation’s FBO at Miami-Opa Locka Executive airport in Florida has achieved IS-BAH Stage 2 registration, having launched full operations in July 2026.
Jet Aviation operates a network of 12 FBOs in the US as part of a network of some 30 worldwide, all of which are certified IS-BAH Stage 2 and above.
“The safety and security of our people, visitors to our sites and the assets in our care is our number one priority at all times,” says Matt Feinstein, vice president FBO operations, EHS and security in the US. “We are incredibly proud to have IS-BAH Stage 2 certification at all of our FBOs in the US and to see our newest facility recognised for its robust safety practices and comprehensive training programme just a few months after launching full operations. This achievement reflects the strong safety culture we embed from day one, as well as the team’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards of operational excellence to ensure a seamless experience for our customers in Miami and beyond.”
Jet Aviation announced initial operations at Miami-Opa Locka in November 2025, with full operations launching earlier this year. The newly-built 27-acre facility features an 8,500sq ft FBO building; 40,000sq ft of new hangarage with 30-foot doors for aircraft parking; a 540,000sq ft ramp able to accommodate larger cabin, ultra-long range business jets; two taxiway connections into the airport system; fuelling with Jet-A, 100LL and sustainable aviation fuel; and drive-on access to the ramp via a private entrance. On-site Customs and Border Protection is scheduled to open later this year.
“Congratulations to the Jet Aviation OPF team in Miami, and thank you to the Jet Aviation FBO network for your commitment and passion for safety as part of the internationally recognised IS-BAH community,” says IS-BAH programme director Terry Yeomans.
