Legacy 500 joins Atlas fleet
Having brought the jet over from the US, Atlas Air Services arranged the AOC and will now commence charter on its new Legacy 500.
Newly-arrived, the Legacy 500.

Just before Christmas an Embraer Legacy 500 arrived at Atlas Air Service's facility in Bremen after a one-stop ferry flight from the manufacturer's factory in Melbourne, Florida.

Atlas Air Service performed the technical review of the aircraft at the Florida facility before its pilots undertook the transfer to Germany where all necessary import, customs and registration formalities were taken care of. Despite the public holidays, the AOC integration was completed in January and the aircraft will now be used for charter operations.

With this jet, Atlas' customers can fly directly from Bremen to more than 600 European airports. In comparison, only 30 destinations can be reached directly with scheduled flights.

Atlas Air Service is a family business celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. Sales director Hans Doll says: “In 50 years of company history, we have built up a unique competence with Beechcraft, Cessna, King Air and Embraer, the best-selling aircraft brands on the market, which enables us to advise our customers comprehensively. All services involved in a complex aircraft purchase transaction come from a single source, including consulting, purchase brokerage, certification, maintenance, aircraft management and charter flight operations, if desired.”
