A320 overhaul is a high for DC Aviation
Over a period of several months of ground time, DC Aviation's maintenance centre at Stuttgart airport has overhauled a VVIP version of an Airbus from the A320 family, investing over 5,000 working hours.
The DC Aviation team completed a complex A320 maintenance project on time.

DC Aviation's maintenance centre at Stuttgart airport has completed the overhaul of a VVIP version of an Airbus from the A320 family. The cabin was completely modernised over a period of several months of ground time and with an investment of over 5,000 working hours.

One particularly noteworthy feature of this comprehensive maintenance and refurbishing work was the modernisation of the onboard entertainment system including the installation of fully HD-capable cabling. Fitting the aircraft with HD monitors, a new surround-sound system and a WLAN with a media server brought the cabin technically up to date. Modern durable non-textile flooring was laid at the same time. In addition to the cabin work, a 10 year maintenance check and a landing gear overhaul were performed. The ground time was also used to perform sensible structural repair work.

Vice president maintenance and CAMO Jürgen Sehne comments: “We have demonstrated that our maintenance team can handle such complex and difficult maintenance work. Our very agile project management put us in a position to complete this project on time and to return the aircraft to the customer on the requested date. We are also proud that the customer acceptance flight went through without any technical complaints, proof of the reliability and competence of our team.”

In the past, DC Aviation has performed complete cabin overhauls on types such as the Legacy 650 and Challenger 850, and has acquired comprehensive experience with changing landing gear. It has been offering line and base maintenance services for various types of aircraft since 1999 at its hangars at Stuttgart and Al Maktoum International airports.
