Banyan Air Service will host a customer appreciation open house at its Fort Lauderdale Executive airport facility on September 14 from 10am to 3pm, to mark its 40th anniversary.

“It was 1979 when it all began and it is hard to believe it's been 40 years,” says president Don Campion. “It's been a fantastic journey and it's because of our dedicated teammates and loyal customers that we owe our success. We want to invite you to see what we have built at Banyan.”

The event will feature exhibits, aircraft on display, family entertainment, demonstrations, food and drinks, giveaways and tram tours.

Some of the vendors that will be exhibiting include: 4KIDS of South Florida, Alpina Watches, Courtyard Marriott Fort Lauderdale East/Lauderdale by the Sea, Egbe Hospital and School of Nursing Revitalization Project, Fort Lauderdale Executive airport, FXE Flight Center, Garmin, Go Rentals, Leatherman Tool Group, Ray-Ban Sunglasses, Snap-On Tools, Steven Greenwald Design, and The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism.

There will be a static display featuring several aircraft, including a HondaJet, and cars and motorcycles from Rick Case Automotive Group.

In addition, there will be a Bahamas Junkanoo band performing, a DJ, bounce house, face painting and carnival games.

During the event, select Banyan teammates will take turns sitting in a dunk tank. Chances to dunk a Banyan teammate are by donation only and all funds raised will benefit Banyan's Egbe Hospital and School of Nursing revitalisation project.

Throughout the day there will be drawings for various prizes; such as hotel and travel certificates, lunch and dinner certificates and more.

Banyan Air Service is an FBO with more than one million sq ft of hangar and office space set within an 85 acre aviation complex at Fort Lauderdale. Besides ground services Banyan provides aircraft sales, heavy maintenance and interior modifications, turbine engine service, structural repairs, avionics installations and services, and aircraft part sales. Banyan’s aircraft sales department is the southeast sales and service centre for the HondaJet.
