West Star extends Hawker offering with two STCs
West Star has been working on two modifications for Hawker aircraft. The first is an enhancement to the lavatory waste drain valve, while the second replaces doll's eyes indicators with LEDs.
West Star offers a new concept STC that replaces the Refuel Panel magnetic valve position indicators (doll's eyes) with LED light assemblies.

West Star Aviation is offering two new STCs for the Hawker airframe. These STCs can be installed by scheduling the aircraft for the upgrades at any of the four full-service West Star Textron Aviation Approved Service Center locations.

“The first is our popular Lavatory Waste Drain Valve modification. We've installed around 20 of these now via FAA Form 337 Field Approvals and the FAA asked us to get an STC for this,” says Hawker programme manager Kendall Kreiling. “The other is a new concept STC that replaces the Refuel Panel magnetic valve position indicators (doll's eyes) with LED light assemblies. The OEM indicators have become difficult to obtain in either new or serviceable as removed condition, so this STC provides operators with a modern solution at very favourable pricing.”

West Star Aviation specialises in the repair and maintenance of airframes, engines and APUs, avionics installations and repair, major modifications, interior refurbishment, exterior paint, surplus avionics sales, accessory services and parts.

In addition to its primary facilities in East Alton, IL; Grand Junction, CO; Chattanooga, TN; and Perryville, MO, West Star Aviation also maintains satellite facilities at Aspen-Pitkin County airport in Aspen, CO; Chicago Executive airport in Chicago, IL; Centennial airport in Denver, CO; Conroe-North Houston Regional airport in Houston, TX; Minneapolis/St. Paul International airport in Minneapolis, MN and Scottsdale airport in Scottsdale, AZ. The company also provides complete FBO services for transient aircraft at its East Alton and Grand Junction facilities.
