Flightstar welcomes leather experts to Champaign
A new midwest satellite leather location is to open in Illinois. Home to Flightstar, aircraft operators will be able to book interior works alongside scheduled maintenance events from midsummer this year.

MRO and Bombardier authorised service facility Flightstar Corporation is to partner with New Jersey-based The Leather Institute to open a satellite location at Flightstar's MRO facility at University of Illinois-Willard airport in Champaign, Illinois.

The Leather Institute, which provides products, training and services for interior leather components, will begin operations from midsummer of 2019. This satellite location will allow for work to be completed during scheduled maintenance events at Flightstar, in addition to offering all services throughout the midwest by utilising its fully mobile operation.

“Our new partnership with Flightstar enables us to provide the highest quality services on a localised level, giving owners and operators in the midwest an answer to their interior maintenance needs,” says The Leather Institute president Sean Dorgan. "Flightstar is an industry leader with a stellar reputation, uniquely positioned in the region to provide us a jumping ground to nearby cities.”

Flightstar technical sales director Rodd Caldwell adds: “This partnership enables both Flightstar and The Leather Institute to offer more services and options to our current and prospective customers. Having its experienced team based in-house gives us scheduling flexibility and allows Flightstar to offer a multitude of additional capabilities to our customers. With our location, The Leather Institute now has a convenient satellite location for direct travel to their customers located across the midwest.”
