Trade-only airfreight wholesaler Solent Freight Services, headquartered in Jamaica, New York, has selected Alsim's ALX simulator. The device will be installed at Solent's subsidiary Flying Pro Aviation Academy in Ecuador and will be the first ALX simulator delivered to the region.

The Alsim ALX FSTD provides up to four classes of aircraft, from single engine piston, twin engine piston, twin turbine up to medium category twin jets such as the B737 and A320. The device is designed and approved for ATPL, CPL/MCC and JOC in compliance with all current regulatory standards, offering advanced technology simulation equipment tailored to clients' training requirements. In addition, it has a proven track record for cost-effectiveness and helps save numerous aircraft hours.

Solent president Simon S. Milne explains his company's choice: “After a very rigorous analysis of the simulator market worldwide, we chose the Alsim ALX due to its wide variety of training aircraft models with a simple and smooth convertibility. This simulator is going to be a pioneer in the Latin American region and our project will be developed accordingly.”

Alsim sales account manager Nicolas de Lassus adds: “We are a leader in flight simulation for initial pilot training. We have recently opened an office in the US and in China as our business is increasing tremendously worldwide. We are glad to install our first ALX in South America and hope that this is the beginning of a great partnership between both companies.

“Our high-technology simulators will improve training quality and meet the market demand. With the ALX, Flying Pro Aviation Academy students will benefit from a state-of-the art simulator to enhance their chances to work for the best operators.”
