Hartzell makes latest three-blade props available for Navajo
They may be over 30 years old, but venerable Navajos and Chieftains have plenty of life in them yet - especially now Hartzell has added replacement three-blade propellers to its Top Prop model line-up.
Hartzell is offering attractive pricing on three-blade Piper Navajo props.

Hartzell Propeller has added replacement propellers for twin engine Piper Navajo and Navajo Chieftains to its Top Prop line-up.

Hartzell Propeller is now offering attractive pricing on new three-blade propellers for twin engine Piper Navajo and Navajo Chieftains,” says newly-appointed executive vice president and general manager JJ Frigge. “By providing these propeller sets exclusively through our Top Prop distribution network, Hartzell is pleased to continue to support this fleet of legendary workhorse aircraft.”

The programme covers Piper PA31 Navajo aircraft with TIO-540-A2 series engines, Piper PA31-325 Navajo C/R and PA-31-350 Navajo Chieftains. Special pricing for a set of propellers is US$37,600 without de-ice boots or $39,600 with boots installed. This special pricing is also available for the PA31P-350 Mojave and PA31P pressurised Navajo.

As part of the Top Prop programme, these propellers are offered with Hartzell's warranty through the first overhaul. The warranty covers 2,400 hours or six years, whichever occurs first.

Piper produced more than 4,000 of these utility transport aircraft from 1967 through to 1984. They are used by charter companies, feeder airlines, private companies and individuals. They are still favoured by a number of commuter airlines.

Hartzell Propeller and its sister company, Hartzell Engine Technologies, form the general aviation business unit of Tailwind Technologies.

In his expanded role as executive vice president and general manager, Frigge will be the company's business leader with a focus on long-term strategy.

“JJ earned this promotion by combining strong personal talents and values with hard work, great judgement and a deep commitment to our department teams,” says president Joe Brown. “He is a trusted figure in our industry, a capable leader of the company and committed to continuous improvement.”

Frigge began at Hartzell in 2011 as the company's controller. Since then he has assumed more responsibilities in leading the company and, in his new role, the senior leadership team will report to him.

In 2013, Frigge took responsibility for the day-to-day business team as well as for marketing and brand building efforts. Previously he spent 10 years as finance manager at Proctor & Gamble. He is a 2001 cum laude graduate of Notre Dame with a Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance and economics.
