With the deadline for compliance looming, airplus Maintenance GmbH has completed its first ADS-B upgrade on a Phenom 300. The aircraft has been handed over to the owner ahead of schedule.

“To deliver a reliable and cost effective ADS-B solution and to keep the ground time low, is what we are focusing on,” states airplus' COO Florian Kindzorra. “As the 2020 mandate will not be exempted or postponed, and considering the number of aircraft to be modified, we highly recommend owners book their slots for modification as soon as possible.”

Based at Friedrichshafen airport airplus Maintenance performs maintenance, repair and overhaul on business and general aviation aircraft. airplus maintenance holds EASA design, production and maintenance approvals, and is specialised in VIP solutions and special missions. With more than 20 years of experience in business and general aviation, it offers a multitude of services for aircraft, including maintenance, inspections, parts, repairs, avionic upgrades, equipment installations, modifications and refurbishments.

airplus Maintenance has a large hangar for midsize aircraft and a larger wide body hangar for aircraft up to B737 size. It was recently acquired by the Porta Air Service group of companies.
