Nomad Aviation has added an Airbus ACJ319 to its Swiss AOC. The long range aircraft will be available for charter from the start of this month and is principally based in Bahrain.

The ACJ319 is a version of the airliner outfitted for VIP passengers. Owing to its extra fuel tanks, the aircraft can fly non-stop for up to 10 hours, connecting intercontinental cities. Its modern interior includes a master bedroom with a queen size bed, en-suite bathroom and shower. The 24-metre long cabin can seat up to 19 passengers and includes dining, meeting and lounge areas. It also has mood lighting, DVD, Apple TV, multiple large HD flat-screen displays, Airshow, satellite phone as well as Ka-band high speed internet for swift connectivity.

“We are delighted to add this magnificent Airbus to our fleet as it represents the ultimate in space, range, utility and productivity, ideally complementing our existing charter aircraft," says Nomad CEO Thomas Koehli. "Thanks to the efforts made by the various stakeholders and authorities, we were able to fully incorporate this aircraft into our Swiss AOC within four weeks, which makes us extremely proud."

This will be a unique opportunity for our charter clients to enjoy the ultimate private jet experience and it enables us to enter a market that we have not been particularly active in so far. The aircraft is known to be popular with large families in the Middle East for holidays, and it will also appeal to groups and bands for roadshows and music tours respectively.”

This year has been a good one for Nomad: "Even though the overall market has seen better times, we were still able to grow our managed fleet by a number of aircraft,” explains Koehli. “As far as the charter side is concerned, our top performers were both the Challenger 604 and the Legacy 600, which formed the backbone of our charter fleet covering the Russian and European market. Throughout the upcoming year we expect to add another three to five aircraft and will particularly focus on further VVIP Airbus ACJs in order to build up synergies.”
