American Express can bank on Sikorsky after 8,000 hours
Sikorsky has repaid the faith placed in it by American Express with interest. Amex's corporate fleet, which has included an S-76A, two S-76B models and one S-76C+, has taken its safe hours tally over the 8,000 mark.
Representatives from American Express and Sikorsky celebrate passing the 8,000 hour milestone.

The Sikorsky S-76 fleet of American Express' corporate flight department has surpassed 8,000 safe hours.

American Express established its corporate flight department 50 years ago, subsequently adding Sikorsky aircraft to the fleet in 1980. Since then, it has had a stellar safety record with no accidents or incidents using Sikorsky types.

“Since 1980, we have flown more than 8,000 hours of executive transportation using a reliable fleet of Sikorsky S-76 helicopters without incident or accident," says American Express VP of aviation Richard Walsh. "We're extremely proud of our safety record and grateful for Sikorsky's commitment to the safety and reliability of its products."

Sikorsky regional executive director for North America Jeanette Eaton adds: “American Express' safe flight record is an example to the entire rotorcraft industry. Sikorsky is extremely proud of our customer's flight hour achievement and the diligence it exhibits in maintaining and operating its aircraft.”

Based at Stewart International airport in Newburgh, New York, American Express has operated an S-76A, two S-76B models and one S-76C+ helicopter as part of its fleet.
