FAI sells Learjet pair and retains both on AOC

Germany's FAI Aviation Group has sold two Learjet 60s to corporate clients. Both aircraft will continue to operate under the company's AOC on management contracts.

The LR60s will also be available for VIP charter from Berlin and Leipzig respectively. One of the jets has already been delivered to its new owner and is available for charter, while the other will be on the charter market shortly, following a full interior and exterior refurbishment.

The Learjets are equipped with satcom and offer a spacious stand-up cabin with all-leather seating for six passengers. With a range of 2,300nm, the type is ideal for trips from Germany to Paris, Moscow, the Balearics or Greek islands, suiting both corporate and leisure passengers.

The jet currently being refurbished is intended to mirror the owner's passion for Ferrari cars and features high gloss carbon veneer cabinetry and grey leather seating. The work is being undertaken by the operator's MRO division FAI Technik, which completed a Challenger 604 refurbishment project last December.

FAI has 11 LR60s in service, making it a global fleet leader of the type. In 2017 the operator flew more than 13,000 hours with its 23-strong jet fleet. It also manages a 14,000 sqm carbon neutral FBO.
