This year, London Biggin Hill airport will welcome Air Charter Expo 2018 (ACE18) for the third consecutive time. Taking place on 11 September, ACE18 is expected to build on the success of 2017, where attendance hit a record high of more than 700 industry professionals.

A varied programme of meetings, presentations and talks from nearly 70 exhibitors was on offer and last year's event boasted an array of 29 business aircraft for attendees to step aboard and sample.

For 2018, BACA CEO Dave Edwards has promised exhibitors from the best in the European charter industry as well as a comprehensive programme that will appeal to all guests, from junior brokers to senior management personnel in business aviation. To add to the variety of valuable business opportunities, BACA is also planning a set of professional training programmes for member companies to take part in.

Robert Walters, business development director at London Biggin Hill, says: “ACE is the key event for charter professionals in the industry's calendar. The addition of professional training programmes to the agenda is sure to give brokers and operators another reason to attend and we are looking forward to welcoming them to the airport, where they can network and build upon key relationships in this growing market.”

Biggin Hill has forecast the creation of 2,300 new jobs at the airport in the next 20 years as part of its LoCATE strategy (London Centre for Aviation, Technology and Enterprise), which lays out the vision for a sustainable future for the airport and local community.
