The Air Charter Association (The ACA) is launching an online version of the Air Charter Broker Qualification to ensure greater access to training resources for members around the world. The training course is designed to provide individuals with the knowledge they will need to succeed as an air charter broker and ensures that brokers are aware of industry best practices as set out by The ACA.

The resources delivered within the Air Charter Broker Qualification support members to upskill new staff, as well as allowing more experienced brokers to refresh their knowledge. The course also provides a networking opportunity for brokers to connect with industry colleagues from around the world, with the association’s membership now covering 59 countries globally.

The ACA will continue to offer in-person training and support to its members through the existing Air Charter Broker Qualification and has so far provided training to delegates from more than 100 member companies, across the Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 courses.

Chief executive Glenn Hogben says: “Since the launch of the qualification in 2021, over 200 delegates have taken part, from 25 different countries. The feedback has been incredibly positive, with many of the attending delegates highlighting the fantastic delivery of the course, using real-life experiences and anecdotes to give a practical understanding of the theory behind the qualification.”

As part of the qualification, delegates have the opportunity to tour FBO facilities at airports such as London Biggin Hill and London Stansted. Additionally, The ACA hosts training courses across Europe, most recently in Munich. As further recognition of the value and standing of the Air Charter Broker Qualification, the course has now achieved CPD accreditation.

Rachel Harvey, operations officer, SaxonAir says: “My favourite part was the visit to Harrods Aviation and Titan Airways during the Level 2 course. This was incredibly insightful, and it was great to see our world being put into action. You have the chance to meet some industry experts and see some incredible facilities. I think the course is incredibly informative, interesting and thought-provoking. I will take what I have learned forward in my career to elevate my knowledge of the industry and to further enhance the good working relationships I have with brokers.”

Carla Ribeiro Moreira, accountable manager, PHS Aviation says: “The training is well organised, and the training topics are well distributed over the three courses. The idea to do the course over three levels is perfect and allows time to consolidate the knowledge obtained in each level. The training should be done by both operators and brokers so that all parties understand the challenges that they face. The course helped me to consolidate my current knowledge and helps to improve procedures, which is an added value.”
