Air Zermatt, based in southern Switzerland, has signed a purchase agreement for an additional Bell 429 helicopter. The aircraft is configured to support HEMS and SAR for day and night missions.

Air Zermatt is one of the most iconic Bell Helicopter operators and we are honoured that it has selected an additional B429,” says Bell's executive VP of commercial sales and marketing Patrick Moulay. “The selection is testament to the type's unmatched performance in the most extreme environments.”

The operator has chosen the Premier Customer Advantage Plan for its latest rotorcraft. Bell will have a hand in training Air Zermatt pilots at its recently-opened Valencia facility using a Bell 429 Level D full flight simulator. The aircraft is scheduled to be delivered next spring to celebrate Air Zermatt's 50th anniversary.
