Lithuania-based KlasJet has added a Boeing 737 business jet to its fleet. The aircraft has been modified and furnished by FL Technics to meet the demands of sports teams, large business groups and government officials, and has been supplied under an operating agreement with AviaAM Leasing.

The B737 has 56 business class leather seats that have legroom of at least one metre. Having been owned and operated by US carrier Continental Airlines on commercial flights, the jet has undergone seat refurbishment, a livery repaint, upgraded lighting and fresh carpets.

“This business jet will be one of a kind in eastern Europe and is already gaining attention from our current customers as well as potential clients,” says CEO Vitalij Kapitonov. “Having the ability to avoid long queues at the airport and sometimes tiresome attention from the fans is very much valued by sports teams. Add to this the legroom, which will keep the players energised. “The same goes for music bands, entertainment groups and business travellers; comfort and convenience is paramount.” KlasJet has already signed a charter agreement with Euroleague basketball club Kauno Zalgiris. The team will use the aircraft to travel to its away Euroleague games at the beginning of autumn.

The operator plans to enlarge the list of clientele for the B737 in the months ahead. “The diaspora of our clientele is extensive: some require light or midsize, others require larger jets. The Boeing 737 is currently the largest aircraft on our fleet and allows us to fulfil growing demand from large VIP groups. Over the next year, we plan to complement our fleet with two additional aircraft of this type,” Kapitonov concludes.
