ACS Flight Training in Perth, Scotland, has signed for an AL42 flight simulator from Alsim. The simulator is based on the Diamond DA42 cockpit and was selected as the flight school plans to acquire a DA42 aircraft in the future. It also wanted to comply with EASA requirements for LPV approach training and to meet growing demand for glass cockpit training.

Alsim has a good setup for manufacturing and delivering FSTDs and you can really feel that the team has years of experience in the field of FNPT devices; these are also some of the reasons why ACS Flight Training has chosen the AL42,” states ACS group director Craig McDonald.

Established in 2007, ACS Aviation operates one of Scotland’s largest commercial flight training schools and Part-145 approved aircraft maintenance facilities for GA aircraft.
