Dubai-based Empire Aviation Group (EAG) subsidiary Empire Aviation San Marino is building its registered fleet in San Marino, following the award in 2015 of an AOC by the republic's CAA. EAG currently has two managed aircraft registered in San Marino with four further managed jets in the pipeline for mid year registration.

In September 2015, EAG became the first aviation company from the Middle East to be awarded an AOC by San Marino, where it currently has an office to support a 7X and CL300. The AOC enables these aircraft to perform worldwide operations.

Executive director Paras Dhamecha comments: “We were very pleased to be granted an AOC by the San Marino CAA and our local operation is working very effectively in attracting and supporting managed aircraft owners. The AOC provides us with the flexibility to offer our owners various operating solutions and bases for their aircraft and also includes the option of placing their aircraft on commercial charters.

“Our fleet is growing, with strong interest from owners to bring additional business jets under the AOC. San Marino is proving to be a very attractive jurisdiction for owners to register their business jets, with a well-managed and regulated aircraft registry and the reassurance of compliance with all the appropriate international standards.”

EAG has also signed an agreement with Honeywell to use the full suite of GoDirect connectivity services and products in the cabins and cockpits of its fleet. “Unifying our cabin and cockpit services through one provider means we can deliver the highest level of service to our aircraft owners and charter clients,” explains Dhamecha.
