Embraer's Legacy 450 has received type certification from EASA, exceeding targets such as range, runway performance, hot and high take-off distance and maximum payload. The aircraft has already been certified by the FAA and ANAC, the Brazilian civil aviation authority.
“This is a great achievement that paves the way for deliveries to begin in the member states of the European Union as well as in EASA-associated countries,” says president and ceo Marco Tulio Pellegrini. “The Legacy 450 is a revolutionary business jet that reinforces our commitment to delivering true innovation to the market.”
With a range of up to 2,575 nm the mid-light jet can fly non-stop from Dubai to Moscow and has one of the largest cabins in its class, along with seating for up to nine passengers and full digital fly-by-wire technology. Production of the Legacy 450 has already begun and the first delivery is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2015.
