Swiss operator Global Jet has accepted the 11th Falcon 7X into its managed fleet. This aircraft will be the sixth 7X that the company currently has available for charter. Global Jet now operates 22 Dassault aircraft, following the delivery of a 900DX last month.

“This will definitely increase our availability and capability, because the 7X has quite a long range, so it is a new tool for long haul flights,” says sales and marketing manager Heloise Converset. “It is well suited for trips to the US or to Asia, because as well as the range these aircraft are economical too. It is also extremely nice inside; a lovely aircraft.”

The latest 7X is a 2014 build and has a BMW interior including the seats. Converset says it complements the existing fleet: “It is a great charter product, and it will work well with what we already have. We offer our extensive experience and a high level of service, so this is really going to benefit our clients.

“We operate mainly newer aircraft, from 2009 onwards. Our philosophy is to always find the top aircraft; we are certainly not going to operate a 1978 model or something like that. The 7X is in the latest generation, it is reliable and it has that extra level of safety by having three engines, which is something that clients like.

“In a bad scenario, if one engine breaks down you still have two running, so this is the kind of concern that is in people's minds, that it is safer.”
