Doha-based Qatar Executive has placed an agreement with Gulfstream for the order of up to 20 aircraft, including the all-new G500 and G650ER. The move signals a significant change in strategy, as the company has traditionally had a strong relationship with Bombardier: its fleet currently comprises three Challenger 605s, four Global 5000s and one Global XRS.

The company will display some of its latest aircraft at this year's MEBA in Dubai. Executive vp Dave Edwards says: “MEBA provides the perfect platform to promote our growing service portfolio to a wide audience including business leaders, government officials and those interested in private charter aircraft.”

The operator's new Hamad International FBO will also be showcased.
