Embraer Executive Jets will display its Legacy 500 and Legacy 650 business jets at the fourth edition of Abu Dhabi Air Expo from March 8 to 10 at Al Bateen Executive Airport.

The Middle East market has played an important role in developing global executive aviation, featuring a younger business jet fleet than the world's average. Dedicated to general and business aviation, Abu Dhabi Air Expo highlights the major players in the industry and their latest developments and innovations.

The midsize Legacy 500 has the best-in-class six foot tall flat floor cabin, which is even wider than some aircraft in the super-midsize category. Eight club seats may be berthed into four beds for complete rest in a cabin altitude of 6,000 feet. The in-flight entertainment system consists of a high-definition video system, surround sound, multiple audio and video input options, a cabin management system, and three options for voice communications and connectivity.

The Legacy 500 is the first midsize business jet with full fly-by-wire technology, featuring side-stick flight controls and the state-of-the-art Pro Line Fusion avionics suite with four 15-inch high-resolution LCD displays. It is capable of paperless operations and has graphical flight planning along with options like electronic Jeppesen charts and maps and the E2VS (Embraer Enhanced Vision System), which includes a Head- up Display (HUD) with the Enhanced Vision System (EVS).

With a range of 3,125 nautical miles (5,788 kilometers) with four passengers, including NBAA IFR fuel reserves, the jet is able to fly nonstop from London to Abu Dhabi, or Abu Dhabi to Bangkok.

The large Legacy 650 comfortably carries up to 14 passengers with privacy in three distinct cabin zones and premium acoustic comfort. In addition to the best-in-class galley and a fully accessible in-flight baggage compartment that is even larger than those of most ultra-long-range business jets, the aircraft may be configured with up to two lavatories. The Legacy 650 features Internet connectivity and the latest generation of full HD in-flight entertainment, with Honeywell's Ovation Select entertainment and cabin management system.

The Legacy 650 features advanced navigation capabilities and the Honeywell Primus Elite™ avionics suite. It has a range of 3,900 nautical miles (7,223 kilometers) with four passengers, with NBAA IFR fuel reserves, which means the aircraft can fly nonstop from New York to London, or Abu Dhabi to Johannesburg.
