Embraer participates in 2012 ABACE with Jackie Chan's Legacy 650

Embraer will participate in the 2012 Asian Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition (ABACE) to be held at Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport, China, from March 27-29th 2012. Jointly sponsored by the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) and the Asian Business Aviation Association (AsBAA), the event is the largest business aircraft show in Asia where executive aviation is booming.

"We expect the worldwide executive jet market to experience sustained growth between now and 2021," said Guan Dongyuan, President of Embraer China. "Our China outlook indicates a need for 635 business jets during that period with a value of USD21 billion."

Jackie Chan, Embraer Executive Jets' brand ambassador, will bring his Legacy 650, making the first joint public appearance with his aircraft since taking delivery on February 3 at Embraer's headquarters in São José dos Campos, Brazil. This also marks the aircraft's public debut in China.

To celebrate these firsts, Chan will preside over a ribbon cutting ceremony scheduled for 9:10, March 26th, at his aircraft in the static display.

Embraer will also present the ultra-large Lineage 1000, its flagship aircraft, during the show. This is significant given the recent order for three aircraft by China's Minsheng Financial Leasing Co, Ltd, one of the largest financial institutions providing executive jet leasing services in China. Minsheng has also ordered 13 Legacy 650s. In July 2011, Minsheng and Embraer signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the purchase of jets in all executive jet production lines.

As the world's only manufacturer offering a full line of executive jets ranging from entry level to ultra-large jets, Embraer will promote its full product portfolio at Chalet S-107 located at Shanghai Hawker Pacific Business Aviation Service Centre Hangar.
