FlightSafety International is planning to expand its presence in Asia. The first new full flight simulator to arrive will be for the Gulfstream G450 and G550 aircraft.

“We are pleased to expand the service we provide Gulfstream and our mutual Customers by offering Gulfstream G450 & G550 training in Hong Kong,” said Bruce Whitman, President & CEO.

Training for the Gulfstream G450 & G550 is scheduled to begin early in 2012. The new Interchangeable Gulfstream simulator will feature electric motion and control loading and new improvements to the VITAL X visual system designed specifically to enhance business aviation training.

Gulfstream aircraft training is currently offered by FlightSafety at its Learning Centers in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas; the Greater Philadelphia/Wilmington area; Long Beach, California; at the London Farnborough Airport in the United Kingdom; and in Savannah, Georgia.

“Our long-term plan is to build a permanent Learning Center and Regional Corporate Office for FlightSafety in Asia. The Learning Center is expected to accommodate up to 10 full flight simulators and serve upwards of 3,000 pilots, technicians, flight attendants and dispatchers per year. This significant investment further demonstrates our commitment to serve the growing aviation industry in Asia and our ability to respond rapidly to the needs of our Customers,” said Eric Hinson, Executive Vice President.

FlightSafety currently offers training in Asia for operators of regional aircraft built by Bombardier and Embraer at the Tokyo International Airport in Japan and in Singapore. Training for Pratt & Whitney Canada engines is available from FlightSafety in Beijing, China.
