Garmin adds a dozen guided visual approaches

Garmin is furthering its mission to assist pilots who are having to negotiate challenging airfields. Twelve new approaches and eight new airports have been added in southern states, where extra care is called for.
Hangars at Yampa Valley mark the next step in Desert Jet's broader national expansion strategy, following the company's plans to grow its FBO network beyond its flagship in the Palm Springs/Coachella Valley region.
A $15 million hangar development is breaking ground near Steamboat Springs in Colorado, an area popular with skiers and outdoor types. Private jet movements have grown 75 per cent in the past five years.
