Arab Wings to add Global Vision to fleet attractions
Mohammed Abu Ghazaleh, chairman of Arab Wings, has ordered a high-speed Global 5000 equipped with the Global Vision cockpit, making him the Middle East launch customer for the new flight deck.

Mohammed Abu Ghazaleh, chairman of Arab Wings, has ordered a high-speed Global 5000 equipped with the Global Vision cockpit, making him the Middle East launch customer for the new flight deck.

Scheduled for delivery in 2011, the aircraft will be operated by Arab Wings and available for charter from its Amman, Jordan, base. "The Global 5000 jet offers a luxurious cabin, a sleek interior and exceptional performance," says Sameer Hdairis, gm, Arab Wings.

Established in 1975, Arab Wings says it is the first and oldest executive jet charter company in Jordan, serving the Arab Gulf region, the broader Middle East and parts of Europe. Hdairis says: "The Global 5000 business jet combines superior comfort, speed and the most technologically advanced cabin in the super large segment. It is capable of executing transcontinental missions at speeds up to Mach 0.89."

He points out that the Global 5000 features the first-ever ethernet-based Airshow 21 cabin electronic system application including entertainment options and baseline high-speed data connectivity. "The Global 5000 jet can link Amman-Tokyo with three to four crew and eight passengers on board," Hdairis says.

The Global Vision flight deck is scheduled for certification in the third quarter of 2010 and entry into service in 2011.
