European Skytime orders 40XR and 45XR to complete the Learjet lineup
European Skytime of Gloucestershire in the U.K. has ordered a Learjet 40XR and a 45XR to meet growing national and international demand. Steve Westlake, md, says: "We are building for the future with plans to offer the entire Learjet aircraft product line. We want to ensure that clients have the widest possible choice."

Westlake told EBAN that the new order was placed to meet projections based on existing demand. The 40XR and the 45XR will join a fleet offering Lear 31, 45 and 60 and Challenger 604 alternatives.

Westlake says: "European Skytime is aimed at the high net worth individual, offering a contract of hours with guaranteed availability, similar to fractional ownership but with greater choice and flexibility."

European Skytime expects the new aircraft to be delivered within two years. Westlake says that they will be absorbed into the company's "green" policy. "We are committed to completely offsetting the emissions generated by our own operations. We also offer our clients the facility to offset the CO2 emissions generated by their private charter flights," he adds.

European Skytime was originally a charter broker but has grown a substantial block charter business and also offers ad hoc charter.
