GainJet orders Gulfstream G200 as it readies expansion
GainJet, a VIP aircraft charter, management and sales company based in Athens, has ordered a Gulfstream G200. It expects delivery in January 2007. The company, which started operations with one long-range Boeing MD-83 aircraft, is also considering ordering further aircraft, according to GainJet president Captain Ramsey Shaban.

The company, which started operations with one long-range Boeing MD-83 aircraft, is also considering ordering further aircraft, according to GainJet president Captain Ramsey Shaban.

Shaban said that GainJet had established charter routes between North Africa and Europe.

He added: "We see potential in charters to the Red Sea area and we are in talks designed to develop this market."

GainJet focuses on government, corporate and individual charter. Shaban said it is also looking at adding an airline charter arm.
