DRF’s Learjet keeps a busy schedule
German air ambulance operator DRF has reported an exceptionally busy period, having been called out to six rescue missions in a single week.

German air ambulance operator DRF has reported an exceptionally busy period, having been called out to six rescue missions in a single week.

The first mission began when the DRF Alert Centre received an emergency call to repatriate a patient from Turkey to Ireland using its Learjet 35A.

Next, the alert centre received a call to repatriate an 89-year-old tourist, who had suffered a stroke, from Palma de Mallorca to Berlin. From Berlin, the LR35 flew to Romania to attend to a patient with serious head injuries.

From Ingolstadt, it flew yet another mission to the German Heart Institute in Berlin. The aircraft was then called to Turkey for another mission, before returning to its base in Karlsruhe.
