ECS Jets (Exclusive Charter Service), a Florida private jet charter brokerage with 22 years in business, now owns one aircraft: a brand new Cirrus Vision Jet G3, based in Palm Beach.
Founder and CEO Jason Johnson recently earned his Vision Jet type rating in Knoxville, Tennessee, and ECS has hired Walter Ryan as a full-time captain to fly the Vision Jet.
For now, the jet flies for company use only, letting ECS advisers meet clients face to face and be on the ramp for departures.
“Flying a jet has been a childhood dream. I've been a pilot for many years, flying the Cirrus SR22, so stepping up to the Vision Jet G3 was an easy decision. It's one of the world's most advanced personal jets, and it's the only jet with a whole-airframe parachute system as standard equipment, which is just incredible. Talk about having fun at work. I love finding new ways to bring value to our clients, and this is one of them. N777EX will support our team today, and once it's on a Part 135 charter certificate, our clients too. It puts ‘we'll be there for you’ in the most literal sense,” comments Jason Johnson, CEO of ECS Jets.
“Flying the Vision Jet for me means endless opportunities and exciting adventures for me and those that I care about, with a focus on safety and security that's unmatched in the current aviation world,” adds Ryan. “I'm incredibly blessed to get to explore those opportunities with Jason Johnson and the rest of the Exclusive Charter Service team, and I couldn't be more excited to see what adventures and memories we create together.”
ECS's goal is to add N777EX to a Part 135 certificate. If and when the aircraft is added to a Part 135 certificate, ECS sees ways it could help: supporting recovery when a partner operator's aircraft is AOG, covering short hops and providing support for the partner operators ECS already works with. Until then, the aircraft is not offered for charter.
According to Cirrus, the Vision Jet G3 has a 1,275 nm max range, a max cruise speed of 317 kts and room for six passengers and pilot, and every Cirrus aircraft includes CAPS as standard, its whole plane parachute system, along with Safe Return Emergency Autoland.
The G3 is the third production variant of the SF50; Cirrus began G3 deliveries in February 2026, with more than 700 SF50s delivered in total since December 2016. The SF50 is certified for single-pilot operation and the type rating is available only at Cirrus Aircraft's Vision Center at McGhee Tyson airport in Knoxville, Tennessee, the exclusive venue for initial and recurrent SF50 training.
